Running a clean uninstall and reinstall of Ghost Browser

Our Customer Support specialist may have asked you to run a “clean uninstall” and reinstall of Ghost Browser. If so, please follow the directions below. If you have not been instructed to do so, please note that this process will remove your Project data, bookmarks, history, autofill and other settings.

Uninstalling and reinstalling on a Windows PC

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a program.
  2. Select Ghost Browser.
  3. Select the Also delete your settings and data checkbox if you need to do a clean uninstall. Uncheck it if you want to keep your data.
  4. Click Uninstall.

  5. Reinstall Ghost Browser.

Uninstalling and reinstalling on Mac OS

  1. Go to your Applications folder.
  2. Right-click on the Ghost Browser icon and select Move to Trash

  3. Click on the Finder and select Go to Folder

  4. If not already displayed, enter your username in the Library folder path (/user/<username>/library) and click Go.

  5. In the Library folder, open the Application Support folder.

  6. Right-click on the Ghost Browser folder and select Move toTrash

  7. Go to the Trash folder and click Empty.

  8. Reinstall Ghost Browser.
